The Houston police division, in a proclamation, expressed that on April 11, Official K. Cummins was on watch when he found a revealed taken vehicle in a parking garage of a Family Dollar store at 12201 Martin Luther Lord Blvd. close to East Orem.

The official then, at that point, pulled up behind the vehicle and moved toward the vehicle involved by the suspect, Jamarr Thompson, who purportedly put the vehicle in switch and smashed into a watch vehicle.

According to an assertion by the HPD, while endeavoring to capture the suspect, a female colleague, distinguished as Donneka Abraham, moved toward the vehicle and impeded the confinement. A battle before long followed between the official and the suspect, bringing about Thompson being taken shots at the scene.

Authorities said that Jamarr Thompson was hurried to the medical clinic, where he was articulated dead. Thompson was allegedly unarmed during the occurrence.

On Wednesday, specialists delivered bodycam film of the deadly experience between unarmed suspect Jamarr Thompson and Official K. Cummins.

In the video, we see a watch vehicle haul up behind a vehicle thought to be taken. Cummins then, at that point, moves toward the vehicle involved by Thompson and orders him to escape the taken vehicle as the suspect shakes his head, apparently contradicting the official’s charge that the vehicle was taken.

The video then, at that point, shows Thompson switching the vehicle and slamming into the watch vehicle as the official holding an immobilizer attempts to keep the suspect from running away from the area. Minutes after the fact, Thompson’s female colleague moves toward the couple, soon after which Thompson jumps on top of the official, who loses his balance and drops to the ground while the immobilizer is taken out of his hand.

The recording catches the female colleague, holding Cummins’ immobilizer and radio, as she drifts over the team while they wrestle on the ground. During this time, Cummins can be heard more than once requesting that the female hand over the immobilizer before we hear a discharge go off at the scene. The official is then seen grabbing the radio off of the female colleague as she shouts and quickly calls for reinforcement.

Specialists said that soon after, paramedics showed up at the scene and moved the suspect to an emergency clinic, where he was articulated dead.

The female associate, Donneka Abraham, was apparently captured and accused of slowing down open obligations. Authorities have said that the occurrence is being examined.
